From our 2004 Demographics information, the majority of our membership live in the central & southern areas of Winnipeg. Since most of the available land from the City of Winnipeg is on the outskirts of the City we ended up deciding on Maple Grove Park.
Once MODS & the City of Winnipeg determined that Maple Grove Park would be a good fit for our organization we began meeting with the other park users in the fall of 2004. These users include: Maple Grove Rugby Park, the St. Vital Mustangs Football Club and the Maple Grove Dog Owners Association. Together we discussed the goals of all the organizations as well as common concerns. Together we came up with proposal for the development of Maple Grove Park.
