MODS High Performance Policy Goals and Objectives In recognition of the value
that elite athletes contribute to the development of Disc Sports in -Leadership and training
from current elite players is essential to the development of future elite
players -Emphasis should be placed
on building strong teams and not just strong players -The funding year for all
initiatives is defined as Jan 1-Dec 31. 2. Offer opportunities
for training and development in the off-season
A. Run one of two intermediate skill clinics in early June, specifics
of clinic to be communicated to the E.D. B. Operate a men’s / women’s hat tourney in late June. C. Operate a hat tournament in the fall. D. Operate a junior clinic in the fall prior to HBTS E. Assist with coaching and development of junior program. F. Submit proposal for new initiative to be approved by the E.D. 2. Assist in one set up / takedown shift for Flatlands. 3. Contact MODS by April 1st *** in 2008 with team plans
for the year. The team plan will include
the following information: community building component; training schedule and
tournaments that the team will attend. 4. The team will keep records of ongoing costs to the program and
report these to the Executive Director before the end of the calendar year. 5. Run a program with development and recruitment as a key objective.
