Beginner's League
The Manitoba Organization of Disc Sports is proud to offer a co-ed league for beginners this summer (2010).Dates:Tuesday evenings at 7pm; the league starts July 6th and runs until August 24th.Registration:Registration will open June 1st. To register please email the MODS Executive Director with the following information: name, gender, and contact information (email and phone number). Registration closes June 27th at 5pm.Location:All games are played at Assiniboine park.Cost:$30+MODS membership (total of $55). In order to play in the beginner league you must have a MODS membership to cover insurance. Payment is due at the first game. You can bring a cheque or cash to pay at the first game or mail a cheque to MODS, 145 Pacific Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2Z6Equipment:Ultimate is an inexpensive sport. All you need is running shoes or cleats along with a dark & white shirt.Mentors:Mentors for all teams are provided by MODS. The role of a mentor is to help teach the game of Ultimate and the spirit of the game to new players.
