A big 'Thank You' to all league members for making this season so successful! Despite setbacks with scheduling difficulties that arose for our playoffs, all teams were represented on Saturday. The following is a summary of the playoff day. 3pm - Chocolat lost to Green Machine Rolling Stones beat Royal-T 4pm - Smokin' beat Blu-Ray Disc Fuego won against e-Lemon-ators 5pm - semis Green Machine lost to Fuego Smokin' won against Rolling Stones 6pm - final Fuego lost to Smokin' Smokin' took first place and Fuego took second place. We then moved on to Boston Pizza on Taylor for a windup and to distribute prizes. They are as follows: Most Spirited Player - Renee O (E-Lemonators) Most Improved Player - Jeness M (Green Machine) Most Valuable Player - Kim S (Smokin') Rookie of the Year - Emily A (Smokin') Most Spirited Team - Fuego (Captain, Tara K) Player of the Team Awards: Smokin' - Kara M Royal T - Kendra F Fuego - Beckie W Chocolat - Mei M Rolling Stones - Jen S Green Machines - Mel K Blu-Ray Discs - Nat K E-Lemonators - Brenda K Congratulations again to everyone. If you did not have a chance to complete a survey, please do so and send electronically to Kim or print and hand in to a committee member or mail to MODS. Your input is greatly appreciated in improving the way the league and skills clinics operate, and future planning for women's development. The Women's Development Committee is comprised of Kim Spiers, Cheryl Coulter and Amy Dick. If any of you would like to take part in the Committee's activities, we would love to have you on board.
