Thank You Board of Directors

They volunteer, they serve, they invest all for the benefit of our organization and community.

They are our MODS Board of Directors and we wanted to say thank you to all of them!

The AGM marks a special time of year to not only review the organization as a whole and present a state of affairs to our membership, but is also serves as a time to bring in new members to the board while recognizing the outgoing members who have given us so much. Returning for the fall will be Serena Vandersteen, Kari Bergmuller, Nigel Batchelor and Daniel Plourde... we wanted to say thank you to all 4 for your commitment to this organization and our members. Also seeking re-election is our interim treasurer Mike Mose who has been awesome to work with and has given up much personal time as we change our financial models. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ALL THE TIME YOU PUT INTO OUR ORGANIZATION!

We also have 4 outgoing members who have served the board for the past few years (some going beyond a 2 year term).

Rob Borges - MODS partnership with Rob began with him serving the organization as a board member before agreeing to take on a 1 year term as president. Rob has been instrumental in helping the board and office, in leading the website working group as we built our new platform and the continued maintenance of that site. Rob also led our spirit of the game working group and has been the head of our personnel committee. All of this while still finding time to play and connect with members directly.

Heidi Grieser - Came to MODS as a board member looking to help with our junior programs and continue the consistency created by Vaughn Snider who had the position before her. Heidi took on the duties tied to leading the junior school working group and also the junior provincial team working group which has helped with consistency, improvements on the field and with communication. Heidi (along with J Kagan) was also instrumental in the creation of the first ever Graduating All Star Game last year, a program that received an overwhelming and positive response and that will carry on for years to come.

Meghan Marsland - Has been serving the MODS membership not only as a member of the BOD but also as a board secretary in the past and a key component of the personnel committee. Meghan has helped bring amazing insight and balance to the board and projects she has worked on with a high level of professionalism. Always leading by example and clear communication she has been a major asset to our organization.

Giuseppe Grande - Came to the board as a volunteer willing to give and we at MODS took him up on everything he was willing to offer. Giuseppe has lead our communication working group for the past few years helping to improve standards, consistency and our ability to reach members. He has also taken on the role of secretary with MODS and helped with our ability to track workload, projects and keeping us organized.

From everyone in the MODS ultimate community, from our members, our staff and our partners - THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE GIVEN TO MAKE OUR ORGANIZATION A BETTER PLACE FOR EVERYONE. YOU EMBODY SPIRIT OF THE GAME AND HAVE GONE BEYOND BEING EMBASSADORS FOR OUR SPORT.
