I want to live in less interesting times!

With our Annual General Meeting coming up on September 17th, 2020 at 7pm, my time as a MODS board member is coming to a close. Active MODS members must pre-register for the Zoom meeting if you are interested in attending and voting at this years AGM. Make sure you register using the same e-mail you use as a MODS member! This link will take you to the registration page for the meeting: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_zyEq3YNgT8yLVx6XKQ44iw

When I first stepped onto the board I didn’t know what to expect. My main goal going in was to make sure the website project stayed on track so that MODS could again have a website the majority of our membership didn’t actively avoid using. I hope I at least managed that.

Over the last three years I have a learned a lot about what it takes to run an organization this size, and let me tell you, it is no easy task! Especially this past year! It was my hope that in these letters I could somehow help our membership understand that a little more. I’m pretty sure I didn’t even come close. It is my hope our next president will be able to do a better job of that for you.

I want to thank everyone else on the board for helping me throughout my tenure and especially this year.  I couldn’t have done it without you. And to those board members who are staying on, I hope this next year is easier for you all, I would not wish another year like we just had on anyone. I also want to thank our staff for working hard under extremely difficult times to keep MODS running. Last but not least I want to thank the rest of our volunteers for continuing their work with MODS during such a crazy stressful time. The collective effort I have seen over the last three years to keep MODS moving forward is honestly nothing short of amazing.

Please everyone stay safe, find joy wherever you can, and may we all soon find ourselves living in less interesting times!
