Summer Employment (Term Position)

At Manitoba Organization of Disc Sports (MODS) we fund and plan sports programs to promote the development of vibrant citizens, athletes and communities through Disc Sport in Manitoba. We are currently seeking two seasonal staff members who are vibrant, energetic and who would bring a spirited energy to our team and community.

Position Title: MODS Office Summer Staff

Employment Term: 3 months/ 35 hours per week

Main Location: Sport Manitoba, 145 Pacific Avenue (Winnipeg)

Secondary Location: IJL Ultimate Park, 90 Frobisher Road (Winnipeg)

Number of Positions: There are two positions for this posting. Please refer to the descriptions below and their specific timelines when applying.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications: Applicants should be familiar with sport and athletic environments, familiarity with Disc Sports considered an asset. Applicants should also have experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). This position is open to students and adults who are 18+.

Pay Rate: Rate is $11.35/hour

Job Description: Please note both positions are required to work some weekday evenings and some weekends during the term. Duties assigned to the positions may be more than what is listed below.

The Positions and Work Periods...

Position #1 – This is a junior support position who will work with the MODS school leagues and provincial championships during the month of May and then support the office with Winnipeg Youth Ultimate Leagues and Team Manitoba during the months of June or July. Term for this position is May 1st to July 31st, 2019.

Position #2 – This is an adult support position which will work with the office to help manage all adult leagues and events and will also support staff leave during the month of July. Term for this position is June 1st to August 31st, 2019.
