2025 Winter Mixed Captain’s Meeting Summary

The 2025 Winter Mixed Indoor Captain’s meeting took place on Monday, January 13th. All teams were required to have a captain or team representative in attendance to cover basic policies and rules, we have highlighted below important updates reviewed in the meeting.

*New Rule – Prescribed Pulling*
Starting in the upcoming Winter 2025 season all teams will be required to use ‘Prescribed Pulling’ in all of their games. This rule indicates that the pull must come from the gender-matching dominant number on the field (4 for outdoor play, 3 for indoor play) on all points. The full new rule can be found HERE.

Performance Bonds
All prior season cheque-based performance bonds have been destroyed. Similar to Fall 2024 Mixed League, each team has already been charged two $150 bonds in their team registration. These bonds will be refunded immediately following the season (barring any team violations resulting in forfeiture of bonds).

Roster Lock
The roster lock deadline for the Winter 2025 season is March 31st at 11:59PM. After which the Winter MODS Sub Program will be shut down and all players must be on team rosters.
*Emergency sub situations that involve documented injuries must go through the office at opsdirector@mods.mb.ca

MODS Sub Program
The MODS Sub Program is a $0 registration requiring a MODS membership.

Captains will be made conveners for the program, this will provide their dashboard a contact list of registered subs and their contact information.

Captains can add players from the MODS Sub Program to their official roster any time before the roster lock (which no longer makes them eligible to sub in said division).

There is a private registration available for the MODS Sub Program that does not share players' contact information to captains but still allows their name to be displayed for roster checks. The captains’ access for this program has been fixed for Winter 2025.
