Beat the Skeeters is the MODS flagship Party Tournament held in June. This is a tiered event which highlights and promotes a good time and Spirit of the Game while getting everyone ready for the summer! Taking place at IJL Ultimate Park with room for 60+ teams, it has become "the" fun tournament for adults. This event offers all members a chance to celebrate the start of summer and the beginning of another successful Ultimate season together!

Time:      All Day Event Both Days (3 games per day and party Saturday night)

What to Expect at the Tournament...

Toque Beer Truck and Beer Garden - Torque Brewing will be on site both days helping us operate the Torque Beer Garden. We will be offering king cans of Torque product and the Torque Truck will be on site handing out delicious samples! The beer garden opens at 1030am both days and will be centrally located for 2019.

Torque Food Truck - Food as beer? Not quite - but our friends at Torque have partnered with a food truck and will be on site helping people stay fed and energized both days!

You Choose the Music - MODS will be on hand with speakers, music and access to thousands of songs. For $5 (all proceeds to the Art Hawkins charity) you can choose a 4 song set to play at any time on Saturday or Sunday... you choose the music you want to hear!

Prizing - there are prizes for the top teams in each tier and also the most spirited team! Come out and play for points or fun... we've got you covered either way!

Donations - We will be collecting donations for Winnipeg Harvest!

What to Expect at the Party...

We're trying to keep the party going from the tournament all the way through the night on Saturday June 8th! We'll be rocking IJL park until 2 am with music, games and the best outdoor party of the season! We'll be transforming IJL for the night as we bring in lighting, lazers, security and extra support to help turn the park into an outdoor party experience! All Night - Giant Jenga, Fris-nock, Glow Putting and Torque Bean-bag Toss

  • All Night - Door Prizes and Giveaways
  • All Night - Paid DJ on site (we're open to requests and suggestions!)
  • All Night - Torque Beer Truck
  • 7pm- 8pm    Karaoke (take part as a team or as an individual, come to sing or entertain, either way - become a legend!)
  • 815pm - 915pm    Super Twister in the Fields 8pm to 9pm (we're painting dots all over the grass and then playing a 100 person game of twister... are you in or in the way?)
  • 930pm - 1030pm    Smash Bingo - A concept taken from a successful Calgary event... who wants to smash stuff!?!?! If you donate it we'll smash it!!!
  • 1030pm... Glow Ultimate 5's on Field 4
  • Dancing, Friends and Celebration of EVERYTHING ULTIMATE UNTIL 2AM!
  • Every event participant and 1 guest of their choosing get in for free!
