Manitoba Organization of Disc Sports (MODS) is actively monitoring the ongoing public health situation surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19). We have received inquiries from our membership and we want to stress that we understand their concerns and the significance of this situation. We are committed to helping protect the health and safety of the public, as well as our athletes, coaches, volunteers and others associated with our sport.
Public health agencies in Manitoba state that the risk for individuals in the province is currently low but are changing moment to moment and the pandemic is fluid... We will proceed with our current planning for indoor leagues and programs as planned, communicated and advertised. We are still planning to move forward with school programing and registration and team registration in the coming weeks for the outdoor season as well. However, given how quickly things can change, we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as the circumstances require.
For those registered for High School Nationals in May, Ultimate Canada as of yet has made no public comment on this event and everyone should still continue on as planned until they hear other news and updates.
