Volunteer of the Year

This award goes to someone who, over the course of the year, put in countless hours of service to help MODS events run smoothly. This is usually someone the organization couldn't have done without during peak times and at key events. The award is presented each year at the MODS annual gerenal meeting.

Nomination Process

MODS members are asked to send in nominations by email to the Vice President by 4pm on Tuesday August 31st.

The email should include a detailed description of the nominees volunteer activities and why they should be the Volunteer of the Year.

See below for examples of the criteria being considered.

Q: What is the nominees name and role in the community?

Q: Who is nominating this person, what is your relationship (how do you know each other)?

Q: Describe the volunteer contributions made to MODS by the nominee since the prior MODS AGM (2020).

Q: Consider, among other things the time spent, the impact (who benefitted/what was achieved) and the value provided to MODS.

The nominator may also include any other anecdotes, stories or impacts this person has had on the community over a longer period of time. We encourage applicants to send in photographs with their application.

  1. Describe the prior history of volunteer contributions made to MODS by the nominee. Consider, among other things the time spent, the impact (who benefitted/what was achieved) and the value provided to MODS.
