Letter from the President - March 2022

MODS Members,

A brief update on the strategic planning process that is currently underway at MODS:

The board of directors, staff and some key members involved in a variety of MODS programs have been working on developing a new strategic plan for the organization over the last number of weeks. We are nearing the end of this stage in the process and look forward to sharing more details in future communication.

Central points of focus throughout this process were evaluating our organizational values, which help to shape our vision and mission. I intend to use the upcoming president's letters to focus on each of these in more detail, and to invite further conversation around what is core to MODS’ strategic direction moving forward.

On a different note, as provincial restrictions continue to relax, I’d like to remind everyone that all programs where registration closed prior to the removal of COVID-19 vaccination requirements to access the facilities and participate in our programs continue to require full vaccination against COVID-19 for all participants. This decision was made out of respect for the context in which participants made the decision to register for these programs. While enforcement will no longer be done by the facility through the scanning of vaccination cards, we are trusting that all of our members will continue to respect this decision.
