The first shot was fired by the defending provincial champions from Kelvin High School in their match with SJR Varsity, and it is only foreshadowing what will be an amazing season and run to the 2019 MODS Provincial Championships at the end of May.
Gray Academy (projected to be another top high school team in 2019) wasn't in attendance for this year's indoor event, however Westgate did more than show up on Saturday as they also put in a heck of an effort this past weekend and put everyone on notice that by the end of May, they will be making a run at a provincial banner as well.
In the B Division DMCI and Oak Park powered their way through to the finals to face off. It was an amazing back and forth game with several lead changes and swings in momentum. DMCI pulled out the Universe Point win.
We can't wait for the school league to start this week and for provincials in a few weeks as the youth ultimate scene is just heating up for the start of the 2019 outdoor season!
