This will be the hub of all info, registration tips and important dates.

MODS creates spring leagues for our middle school and high school programs while offering clinics and jamborees for grade schools. The spring season culminates in May with the Middle School and High School Provincial Championships sponsored by Independent Jewellers of Winnipeg. Our fall high school programming is one month  leading into the prestigious SJR Hold Back the Snow tournament in October.

Programs

MODS school programs include a Spring League for Middle School and High School and Fall High School League. All school teams have opportunities to participate in tournaments throughout the year. Each year, MODS runs a free Disc-overy event to help schools keep participation costs down and encourage athletic development. In addition, MODS is proud to sponsor an annual, international school-based tournament (Hold Back the Snow) hosted by St. John’s Ravenscourt School. The weekend after May long is our High School and Middle School Provincial Championships, which now attract thousands of people from across the province.

MODS School/Organization Clinics

Our coaches — at your school or organization! The MODS school or organization clinic brings an ultimate coach to your location for an introduction to ultimate or a refresher on the sport.

MODS coaches will arrive and work with your phys-ed instructors or staff to teach the game of ultimate to your participants during the specified day/time that is requested. Students will learn about self-officiation and Spirit of the Game (our most important rule), and participate in a series of drills and mini games to help learn basic concepts and fundamentals.

Interested schools or organizations may consider to host clinics, school or divisional jamborees/ tournaments at MODS IJL Fields located at Maple Grove Park (off the south perimeter).

Clinincs may occur in a gym or outside green space.

MODS can also offer a 90-minute adult clinic for anyone interested in learning about the game or become introductory level coaches. This gives your school or organzation the power to retain coaches and add ultimate to your programming and extra-curricular experiences.

Schools may enter an ultimate team and participate in the free MODS Spring Disc-overy event in May.

A cost for a clinic is determined when the form is completed and submitted.

Equipment

Official discs and pylons can be purchased through MODS at a special school rate.
